How Is Cervical Cancer Diagnosed?

My healthy 52 y/o mother non smoker non drinker vegetarian diagnosed with cancer waiting on staging Dr said she knows enough to know it s past stage one. I believe she could visibly see the cancer when she placed the speculum in. Dr said it looks inoperable. Best educated guess as to prognosis? If anyone can help me please.

Cervical cancer is diagnosed by pap-smear. Prognosis depends on exact staging stage 2 has a prognosis of 60-80%. Treatment options are surgery and chemotherapy based on staging.
