I ve recently tested positive for Gonnorhea. I trust my current partner, but know that me previous partner of 19 months ago had another partner whilst with me. Although I have infected my current partner, I had no symptoms, yet the result were positive. What are the chances of being a carrier of Gonnorhea for this time?
Gonorrhea is transmitted by having unprotected vaginal, anal or oral sex with someone who has gonorrhea.
Please note that most women with gonorrhea do not have any symptoms. Even if symptoms occur they are often very mild. Increased vaginal discharge, burning when urinating or vaginal bleeding between periods may indicate gonorrhea.
Symptoms in man are usually obvious enough and may include: abnormal discharge from the penis, burning when urinating or painful testicles.
It is so important to identify and treat gonorrhea because it can cause serious health problems like: blocks fallopian tubes, infertility or ectopic pregnancy. Also pregnant women with gonorrhea can give the infection to the baby during delivery.
To avoid getting infected again you and your partner should wait seven days after treatment before having sex.
