We see the gestational period means how many months of pregnancy were there and the size of uterus.It can be an incomplete abortion , inevitable abortion or complete abortion.It can be examined or seen under ultrasound.Then depending upon the retained products of conception evacuation is done.Tablet misoprostol are put in the vagina under doctor's guidance.Amount of bleeding is very important , usually retained placenta causes excessive bleeding , it is to be reomoved otherwise it can cause infection , shock , bleeding disorders etc.
