HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

After a blood clot , it is important to be on an anticoagulant , at least for a short time (in some cases a prolonged time), to prevent another clot from occurring.
There is a risk of a second clot, unfortunately this is a well known possibility.

In terms of blood tests, they are not generally required with elequis, blood monitoring is also not required.
It is one of the advantages of the newer anticoagulants.

If you are still unsure, you should get a second opinion.

I hope this helps
