General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

After a hysterectomy operation, after 24 hrs you can do side movement on the bed after consultation with the surgeon. It also depends on the type of operation i.e. laparoscopic or open. The laparoscopic operation allows early movements. After 2 days you can stand with support and do movements as per advice by the physiotherapist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale,
