How Long After Having Late Periods Can I Take A Pregnancy Test?

So my last period was Jan 3-7 and I had unprotected sex on Jan 21. He claims he pulled out but I just feel like somethings wrong. It s now Feb 2 and I have 8 days before I get my period, but I m starting to spot. Is that normal or does that mean I m pregnant? I ve never had spotting before so I m kind of nervous and this was my first time having sex. Please help!

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Spotting, especially which lasts only for a day or 3 maximum, could be an implantation bleed. I would thus recommend a home pregnancy test to be conducted using an early morning urine sample to be conducted on the second day of a missed period (i.e. if you miss your period). If your period arrives on time, then there is absolutely nothing to worry about.

Best wishes.
