How Long After Taking Mifepristone And Misoprostol Does Bleeding Start?

hi..i am carrying now.pregnancy period is less than 8 weeks..i want to terminate my pregnancy.i took mifepristone n after 24 hrs misoprostol 400mcg by mouth..i could nt experienced any bleeding...plz suggest me for terminating my pregnancy.. iam 22yr old..

I appreciate your concern for the lack of vaginal bleeding following the use of Mifepristone and Misoprostol.

Before taking these medications you must consult a gynecologist for proper evaluation like Ultrasound to determine the duration of pregnancy and its location (whether inside the uterus or not) and other routine investigations like Hemoglobin and blood grouping.

After taking full kit of Mifepristone (1 tablet) and Misoprostol (4 tablets), abortion occurs anytime between 6 hours to 5 days.
But in few patients there can be an incomplete abortion.

So, you are advised to consult a gynecologist for proper examination, may be you need an ultrasound to detect the incomplete abortion.
