How Long Can Airtel L Be Taken?

Sir I am taking Aritel 40 mg nl last 5 months due to giddiness suddenly at night and my BP was gon for 210 to 220.next day i visited to dr. MD (phy.) and admitted for 4 days. all reports eco, blood, stress ,sugar are normal. form that day i am taking the said tablet . lat week i will take alternet day and and feeling better. pl.suggest me whether i continue Aritel 40 nl.or discontinued .

hi sir/mam,please do not stop anti hypertensives all of a sudden.as mentioned,your sudden episode of giddiness and rise in BP,normal cardiac profile and sugars point at the following:
1)pheochromocytoma which is a catecholamine secreting tumor.for its diagnosis,24hr urinary metanephrine levels are to be done.
2)another possibility is renal artery stenosis which can be diagnosed by renal artery doppler.
but dont panic.i'm just giving you a caution as 200 or 220mm of hg BP is quite high.so,if the above conditions can be ruled out,we can safely label yours as essential/beningn hypertension.please continue aritel 40 until your next visit to physician.hope your doubt is clarified.if you have any other queries,you are welcome to write to us.thank you.take care.bye.
