How Long Can Duphaston Be Taken During Pregnancy?

Hi I am currently 14 weeks 3 days pregnant.I have conceived through IUI,first cycle successful. I had D& C due to blighted ovum in 2014.After that I had problem conceiving(Secondary infertility). I was on Duphaston 10 mg once a day after till 14th week in pregnancy. Doctor has adviced me to stop it now.Could you please suggest whether I should stop it or take it further till 20 weeks.

Hi,

Well your doctor has taken care that enough progesterone has been given during the phase placenta has not developed. At 14 weeks your placenta would be functioning well.Your scan reports would be conclusive of same. Hence your doctor has stopped the tablet. No need to continue them.
