How Long Can Folfirinox Be Used To Treat The Mass?

HELLO, MY NAME IS PATRIZIA I AM ITALIAN, I AM FOLLOWING CHEMIOTHERAPY WITH A DRUG CALLED FULFERINOX HAVE CANCER OFNTHE PANCREAS STAGE IV WITH METHASTASIS TO BOTH LUNGS. THIS IS THE QUESTION: THE ca 19-9 MARKER WAS IN MAY 2012 OVER 27000, AND NOW IS DOWN TO 900 AND WITH FULFERINOX THE MASS REDUCED 2 CM ( 6.5 TO 4.5) THIS MEANS THAT FULFERINOX IS WORKING WELL..BUT HOW LONG CAN THIS DRUG BE USED AT THE MOST? THANK YOU PATRIZIA

hello dear. Folfirinox can be used till as long as your disease is controlled by it. Only once you show progression or unbearable toxicity, then it will be stopped. But do not worry, even in second line there are treatment options. Hope you understand now.
