How Long Can I Take Minoz 50?

Hi ,

I am 30 yr female and have acne and taken minoz 50 in past. to get rid of them. They are now starting to appear again I am planning to have children so want to know can i take medicine again and if yes how long do I have to wait before trying to child .

Hello,

Acne or pimples is most oftn teenage problem and starts appearing at the age of 13-14 years and then almost vanishes by the age of 25 years. As you have these at the age of 30 years so it is quite unusual.

The main cause of pimple is due to hormones (chemicals which are influencing one or other body functions). In addition this can be due to the influence of certain other factors causing its aggravation.

In my patients I give Minocycline for maximum of 1-2 months and not beound that. If a female is planning for pregnancy then it should be stopped 1 months prior to pregnancy.
