How Long Can Montain LC Be Given To A Child For Allergic Cough?

My daughter aged about 11 years has allergic cough for the last 2-3 months. I tried homeopathy, but it only aggravated her condition. When she was 05 years, she had this allergic cough and during that time I had to run to the hospitals to nebulize her. Later on with the growing of age she get all fine, but the situation has again returned, but the intensity is low, I don t have to nebulize her, but the cough remains. Only when I give her Montair LC kid, her cough gets over, otherwise, she keeps coughing. What should I do and how long should I give her Montain LC kid ??

According to history provided by you, Most probably your kid is suffering from allergic asthma.

If such patients comes to my clinic,I would advice him/her following points

1. Most important treatment of any allergy or allergic asthma is to finding out cause of allergy and avoiding it. By this simple measure only many get rid of the problem without any drug.Some of the common allergens are house dust mite, tree pollens, Pet animal dander and hairs etc which causes allergic asthma.

2. Montair LC KID not to be given more than 15 days and take it as per need arises.

3. Depending on severity of condition I would prescribe inhaled steroid.

So my suggestion is to visit nearby pulmonologist for further evaluation and management of your child.
