General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I understand your concern.

Prisolec is a type of proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to reduce the hyperacidity of the stomach and related symptoms.

It can be used for long term only in cases where ulcer is confirmed by upper endoscopy.
So, I advise to run an upper endoscopy to evaluate if you need to take it for long term or not.
Discuss this further with your gastroenterologist.

All the best.
