How Long Can Suboxin And Megestrol Acetate Be Taken?
Hello, my name is Sherry. My husband was taking vikadin about 8 years ago and was hooked. He then went to a doctor who subscribed suboxin and megestrol acetate. He s been taking these two drugs subscribed by the same doctor since then. My ultimate question is shouldn t this be a short term solution instead o a lifelong treatment/substitution? My husband doesn t do vicadin anymore, but I feel like the long time use of the other prescriptions have had other effects. Any insight on the uses or longevity of these medications?

Your concern is understandable. Typically the medication is taken 6 months to 1 year though some persons need it for longer period of time.
It can be discontinued in some persons but this has been gradual and done under the guidance of a doctor.
