Hi
Iam 40 now.I ve been prescribed by a dermatologist to take Finax , Biotin and Minoxidil 2 for hair loss some 3 yrs back. After 6 months I got some visible results I.e some hair growth. Then I started myself to use minoxidil 5 and now using minoxidil 10.Eventhough there is hairfall my hairline has not receded. Its remaining on the same level.I dont have any side effects on using Finax, Biotin and Minoxidil 10 for the past 3 yrs.My question is how long I can take this medications. Iam afraid that if I discontinue my hairline will start receding.Pls give me a suggestion

HI,

I can understand your concern for the hair fall. It can be due to multiple factors including hormones, diet and nutritional deficiency and stress along with improper washing of hair.

You are taking a proper of treatment which is one of the most effective treatment for male pattern hair fall or known as androgenic alopecia.
You can take a tablet containing Acetylcysteine, Calcium Pantothenate, Selenium, Zinc, Biotin, Copper as active ingredients. You can take these vitamins in the form of biotin, calicium pantothenate and other vitamin B complexes.

Additionally increase you protein intake on daily basis and eat sprouts. Eat a lot of green leafy vegetables and sprouts which contains vitamins and minerals necessary for normal hair function.

You can take these tablet and treatment of r9-12 months but only under dermatological supervision.

Take care.
