How Long Do Side Effects Of Co2 Persist?

Hi I underwent a Laparoscopy under general anaesthetic last Thursday and had my uterus blown up with Co2. I have had a nasty reaction and been violently ill from 24hrs later for at least 4 days together with the most horrid headaches imaginable? My Dr is saying this is a nasty reaction to the anaesthetic? Im wondering how long it will go on for as it's 8 days now?
