How Long Do The Effects Of Oxycodone-acetaminophen Last?
My wife is on Oxycodone-acetaminophen 10-325 due to back pain. She took a Naltrexone 50 mg oral her brother gave her to try to stop drinking even though she had 2 drinks beforehand. She became sick - vomiting and diarrhea, and has eaten nothing and slept most of the day. How long is the effect and is there an antidote. She has not taken any drugs sinc?
Naltrexone is an opiate antagonist. This is used to prevent people who have been addicted to certain opiates from taking them again.
But this medication must not be used in people currently taking opiates. It's important not to start naltrexone until all opiates have been out of your system for seven to 10 days or you may risk acute opioid withdrawal effects.
Vomiting and diarrhea are the side effects of naltrexone. The effects of oral Naltrexone 50 mg will remain in her system for about 72 hours.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Prabhash Verma,
