Hi, I just had gum surgery (connective tissue from my palette graft) 9 days ago. I had just a small amount of recession over my top front tooth and I had no idea what a horrible procedure this would be! Afterwards, my face looked like it had been pummeled by a boxer, I was swollen and bruised for days. I had to call in sick to my new job as I looked so hideous. Long story short, now the periodontist doesn t even think the graft took. And I had 13 stitches in my mouth! He told me to wait 2 more weeks and made me swear not to lift my top lip to look. When I smile, I can see the bottom of my gum line and it looks worse WAY worse than before! in fact, it was just fine I can t believe I messed with it. In addition, somehow the dentist cut away my middle triangle (palliae ?) and it just looks horrendous with a big gaping hole. So, dear doctor, finally my question is: Does the gum middle triangle , I think called the palliae, grow back? And if so, how long does it take? THANK YOU SO VERY, VERY MUCH!
