How Long Do Tightness And Pain In Ribs And Cough Last After Esophagectomy?

I had 4 surgeries in 8 days, the last one done by a trauma thoracic surgeon & was in the hospital 3 wks. The last surgery reconnected my esophagus to 2/3 of my stomach by way of a esophagectomy/thoracotomy (through the back). My stomach returned through my diaphragm and died along with my valve and part of my esophagus after the first surgery, which was to repair a very large hiatal hernia. The second (5 days later) discovered the necrosis & not the need for loosening as was expected; so it required amputation. It has been 4 months now. I wonder if I am ever going to not feel the rib tightness/pain & be rid of coughing & excess mucus? I still have nausea & eating problems too.
