How Long Does Corticosteroids Remain In The System?
My husband has rentals had 3 injections of corticosteroids for a bulging disc. He has been taking Effexor for years and is a quiet, steady guy. His last shot was 2.5 weeks ago, but he appears to have slipped into hypo mania. He is not experiencing psychosis, but he is wired, extremely agitated, not sleeping, has pressure speech (and talks a lot now...all the time). He is very concerned as am I. He will not take another steroid shot. But, will this wear off?

This can be an adverse effect from steroids but it should wear off in another week or so. Still he should let his doctor know about this reaction
