How Long Does Flucloxacillin Take To Show Effect?
Hi Dr, I ve had an Eye Infection for nearly a week , Originally I was given antibiotic ointment but nothing had changed. So, I was at my GP yesterday and they ve given me Flucloxacillin (500g), I have no discharge coming from my eye and it is still swollen how long will it take for the tablets to start working?

Usually it takes 2-3 days till effect is seen and if there is no improvement after this time,you should consider switching antibiotic or there may be resistant bacteria involved. First day is in every case to early to see results.
