General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Klonopin (Clonazepam) is an intermediate-acting benzodiazepine commonly prescribed to treat seizures, to prevent panic attacks or episodes of extreme anxiety, restlessness, or other uncontrollable movements.

It has a long elimination half-life (time taken for half of a single dose of a drug to leave the body) of 30 to 40 hours. It means that it will take between one to two days for just 50% of Klonopin to leave the system. Based on its estimate of 30 to 40-hour half-life, Klonopin is likely to stay in the system for approximately six to ten days after the final dose.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
