How Long Does Methamphetamine Last In The Body During Pregnancy?
So i have a question and please no judgement, my friend just turned 35 weeks. Before she found out she was pregnant she would do meth, only smoke it and she was not addicted to it. When she found out she was pregnant she was a month. And she stopped but then went back with doing it on and off, she does work and she eats and she says at her doctors visit that the baby is okay she gained 12 pounds through out her pregnancy so im not to sure if her doing meth would be the cause on why she hasnt gained almost up to the 25 pounds thats normally supposed to be gained. Shes scared that when she has the baby they will find the baby positive for meth. She wants to know how long it takes for it to come out of hers and the babys system along w the placenta. She says she doesnt smoke alot she will usually smoke once or twice and then stop for about a week or 2. Idk why she hasnt fully stopped if she could go that long w out smoking but im no one to judge just want to help her out. Thank you very much.

The Meth consumption during pregnancy on a regular basis as mentioned here is going to be deleterious over her body and baby as well because there is disturbances at placenta micro circulation and other systems as well.
She must get regular consultation with her OBGYN and must avoid further doses of meth if she wants to stop further complications if going to arise at all. So far as clearance of meth from body is concerned, if no dose is taken for a period of 3-4 days , then clearance from body can be predicted within 7-10 days afterwards, but here there is no consistent period of meth abstinence and hence no issue of total body clearance of meth.
