How Long Does Methamphetamine Stay In The Body?

I have used meth everyday for 24 years and got in some trouble have me on the sweat patch have not used for 8 months now but my sweat patch keeps saying positive for meth does it stay in your fat cells or skin cells ? I have been searching for answers of why it would show positive it is my freedom at stack. Thanks Melissa

Methamphetamine usually takes about 2-10 days to leave the body, depending on how much and how often the person used the drug. In your case you are using the drugs for more than twenty years and probably your bone and fat tissues has deposits of Methamphetamine. It takes couple of years or more to get a negative test. Do not reuse the drug in the mean time.
