Hi,
TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone) levels that are too low (less than 0.4 mIU/L) can indicate hyperthyroidism, an overactivity of the thyroid gland. The treatment of choice for hyperthyroidism is usually a medication called methimazole (brand name Tapazole), which is typically taken once or twice a day to reduce thyroid hormone production. It may take several weeks to several months for your TSH levels to return to normal while taking methimazole.
It's not safe to use methimazole during pregnancy. If you are trying to conceive, your doctor will likely switch you to a different medication, such as propylthiouracil (PTU) which is considered safe during pregnancy. You must inform your doctor if you are trying to conceive, and they will work with you to find the best treatment plan. It's also essential to monitor your condition regularly with a blood test to check your hormone levels and adjust the dosage.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
It takes six weeks at least to normalize T4 thyroid hormones. You need an endocrinologist and gynecologist consultations and may be surgeon a team is required for normal delivery. They will decide all protocol of tests, treatments etc. Diet, do small exercises or yoga.
