How Long Does Monocef Take To Treat Gonorrhea?

I got an infection in the vein of my penis from a oral sex. doctor suspected gonorrea. I received Monocef 2 gm injection single dose on last Friday evening ( 30.04.2010). its not yet cured. what is the time duration for monocef to react with the bacteria. I will wait or again go to a doctor?

Welcome to HCM.

If the diagnosis of Gonorrhea was correct, following the treatment with Injection Monocef, it will respond within 48 hours. Very rarely resistance of Gonorrhea for Injection Monocef has also to be ruled out if there was a failure to treatment.
