How Long Does Nexito Forte Take To Be Effective?

Hi doctor. My mother is suffering from major depressive disorder. She is under treatment for one month now but there is no improvement. Recently started nexito forte, quitipune and thyromine. Kindly tell me how long will it take for her condition to improve?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It normally takes 2 to 3 weeks for an initial response, if a response is not seen in this time period, then the medication may need to be increased or altered.

It would be best to speak to her doctor to let her or him know that there has been no change so that adjustments can be made.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
