How Long Does A Cortisone Shot Stay In Your System?
How long does a cortisone shot stay in your system? I m having terrible leg cramps at night not getting any sleep, I ve tried apple cider vinegar, mustard, pickle juice, the homeopathic for leg cramps, walking and massage, still have them every hour or two
Leg cramps at night commonly occurs due to diabetes or developing peripheral artery disease. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a Neurologist, take all Nerve conduction tests, Nerve biopsy, Blood & Imaging tests & get treated at the earliest.
Cortisone shots may suppress pain for 6 weeks to 6 months, it reduces inflammation. You should only take it under your treating doctor. In the meantime, do stretch exercises, drink plenty of water, stay active & take adequate rest. Stay away from stress & addictions if any.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
