How Long Does A Hormone Replacement Therapy Remain Effective?

I have been doing bio identical hormone replacement therapy for 7 1/2 yrs and now i don t feel I am getting the same benefits as in the beginning. Is there a time when the body no longer benefits from the therapy. Would I be better of doing a less expensive hormone therapy?
