How Long Does A Positive HPV Infection Last?

Hello, I was just dx with a positive hpv genotype 16, my pap smear was normal and I have never had an abnormal pap. I am worried about this dx what can I expect, will I see any changes in my body? How long does a positive hpv infection last or will I have it forever?

HPV 16 is a high risk genotype. You should do HPV DNA testing and consult the OBGY doctor. You requires continuous regular screening with PAP Smear.
