How Long Does A Torn Hamstring Injury Take To Heal?

My friend just had an accident and tore his hamstring, according to his family doctor. No MRI was ordered, and I m wondering if he needs to have one to know the extent of the damage. Should he be on blood thinners? He says his leg is black, and I know that s blood. What s the prognosis for complete recovery from an injury like this?

I really appreciate your concern, first it is most important to get done the MRI test to rule out the muscular injury if this is really muscular torn then severity would be matter of concern because some time in severe injury this may need some surgical repair, blood thinner does not have any role unless it is indicated clinically, prognosis and recovery depends upon the severity of injury, hope this information helps, take care.
