How Long Does Carpometacarpal Boss Take To Form On The Hand?

How long does it usually take for a carpalmetacarpal boss to form on the top of the hand? I have had pain doing any activities with pressure applied to my hand while in a pushup position/ doing dips, etc... and i believe this to be the cause of my pain
