How Long Does Complete Recovery Of Tibia And Fibula Bone Fractures Take?
On June Third 2015 my tibia and fibila bone was broken in a car accident, the doctor inserted a rod and after 3 months I still experience pain when walking, I also have a slight limp. How long will it take for pain to go away. Oh, I still have visible bruising and can t stand anything to touch that area of my leg.
The time of recuperation depends on the severity of the fracture. Taking count that you underwent a surgery then the fracture may have been completed and you may need more time to regenerate.Three months are enough for bone regeneration but you may need to start physical therapy to regain your muscles function and improve circulation also. A bit of pain is still normal to happen.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
