I was referred to an opthomologist 5days ago ( Friday 26th Aug) due to Conjunctivitis & keratitis - reduced vision in one eye, watery, itchy eyes, light sensitivity. I'm a contact lens wearer, however haven't worn my lenses for over a week. I've been prescribed antibiotic eye drops & ointment, however there has been no improvement in my sight or light sensitivity - how long should it take before my vision improves and my eye becomes less sensitive to light. I've to go back to opthomologist in 6days time (Monday 6th Sept) for a check up.
It can be allergic conjunctivitis or dry eye consequence of prolong use of contact lens. It is good that you have removed contact lens. Take levocetrizine 5mg tablet daily. cromal eye drop can be applied 2times daily. Use refresh eye tear drop two times daily. You will have improvement from all problem.
Hi Besides antibiotic eye drops , one should use lubricating eye drops also. And if there is keratitis also, one should use cyclopentolate eye drops twice a day for few days till keratitis heals.
