How Long Does Cough Due To Inhaling Wood Dust Last?

hello, about 2 weeks ago I was doing some sanding on wood and mdf, i stupidly didnt wear a mask as I only expected to be doing it for 10-15 mins, anyway i have had a chesty cough for 2 weeks now, and each day will have several episodes of intense coughing fits, but I am unable to cough any phlegm up. how long should I expect this to last before my body is back to normal, or should I go to a GP to get myself checked out

Yes it could be due to wood dust. Without general care it takes alot of time to become healthy and on the other hand it prolongs the illness. I would suggest you following:
> Firstly, always wear mask when doing such activity.
> Avoid dust till you become healthy again.
> Take Diphenhydramine + Dextromethorphan suspension for cough twice daily
> Take hot water in a cup, add one table spoon salt in it. Perform gargles(mouth wash) with it after every 5 hrs till you find improvement.


Report to hospital if:
> Condition remain same 2-3 days after starting this treatment.
> Any unusual symptom appears
> Condition deteriorates.
> There is difficulty in breathing.
