General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Typically it takes at least 2 to 3 days for the loose motions to subside but it will happen gradually.

I would advise you to continue the treatment your doctor has advised and make sure to give him ORS along with the medicines. Give him plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
