How Long Does Drug Traces Remain In The Blood Samples?

i know this may sound irresponsible, but this is the situation, i was at my brothers birthday party on the 10th and i did something i dont ever do, i took a hit of pot, i regreted it after, and whats worse is i then get a call from a friend offering my old job back, i have to take a drug screening on monday at which point it would have been 17 days since, i am not a habitual user, i was drinking and wasnt thinking straight

Hi,

I do not think you need to worry about testing positive for cannabis. Since this was an isolated event and you are not a regular user of cannabis, the drug is likely to be completely out of your system within a week. For regular users, cannabis remains detectable in urine even as late as three to four weeks. So, please do not worry, but be more careful in future.
