How Long Does Gonorrhea Take To Get Cured?

Hi...I had classic symptoms of gonorrhea and was given an injection and zithromax 1000mg, one dose on Monday afternoon. The greenish discharge stopped within 18 hours. But it seems the discomfort (pain is too strong a word) has not abated. Maybe even gotten slightly worse. Is this just part of the healing process? I know it s only been a little over 48 hours.

I will take 3-5 days for symptoms to subside, you may take a pain killer to ease this pain till your healing process takes place.
