How Long Does Infectious Ileocecitis Take To Get Cured?

I was recently hospitalized for 5 days with ileocecitis with ecoli infection that went into my blood. I was on I ve fluids, antibiotics and my fever of 102.6 went down over that time to low grade. I have less pain in my small intestine area, but it is not gone, it is irratic. My concern is I wonder how I will know if I am over the infection. I still have no energy, night sweats, feel generally sick and headaches. I finish my antibiotics tomorrow. 14 days of Cipro.

Hello,

Generally, the symptoms will settle in a couple of weeks with proper antibiotics. If symptoms persist better to consult a gastroenterologist and get evaluated.
