How Long Does It Take For Tramadol To Get Out Of System?
I took Tramadol for pain that Dr. prescribed to me. I took maybr 2-3. I quit taking cause they seemed to make me real dizzy........it s been a week and I am some better but still very dizzy. Dr. said it would take awhile to get out of my system....Is a week long enough?
Hi, Thanks for writing to HCM. Tramadol is a narcotic-like pain reliever. It is used to treat moderate to severe pain. Tramadol is extensively metabolized after oral administration. It is eliminated primarily through metabolism by the liver and the metabolites are eliminated primarily by the kidneys. The mean plasma elimination half-life is approximately 10 and 11 hours. Approximately 30% of the dose is excreted in the urine as unchanged drug. Hence it would not take more than 2 days for the complete elimination of the drug after the last dose. However, since it is narcotic analgesic, it may have some amount of central nervous system (CNS) effects to continue for a couple of days more. Hope the information provided would be useful. All the best.
