How Long Does It Take For Folliculitis In The Legs To Get Cured After Taking Flucloxacillin?

Hi I went to see a Gp on Monday about my folliculitis on my legs and they gave me some antibiotics called flucloxacillin and to take 4 tablets everyday for a week, they infection looks like it has started to dry up but none of the spots have actually disappeared yet, how long does it usually take to clear as the Gp said it will clear within a few days of taking the tablets and it’s nearly been a week.

Well it depends on severity of infection that how long it will take for the infection to subside completely..
Yes, the infection can subside in a week and along with taking oral antibiotics if you also apply antiseptic ointment like Muricoprin and Triple antibiotic ointment then it will heal soon.
So continue the full course of antibiotic Fluconazole and along with it apply topical antibiotic ointment.
Do not touch the spots again and again to avoid spread of infection.
Maintain a good hygiene..
