How Long Does It Take To Conceive After Discontinuing Implant?
Hi, I m wondering if you could give me some advice. I decided to go on the implant. So on the 21st February 2011 I had the implant inserted in my arm. In January 2014, I got this removed, but on the same day I had the injection. My injection ran out on the 24th April (round about this time) but I ve not had a period since. I ve not had a period since last year, which I m not sure which month. Me & my partner have been talking about starting a family, reason why I never renewed my injection. I ve been reading up on the internet and a lot of people have said that it s taken over a year to fall pregnant. I m wondering if you could give me some advice please

implant and injections can cause temporary disturbance in menstrual cycle. but the fertility returns to normal within 6 months after you have discontinued the implant/injection, so do not worry. rarely you may need to take combined oral contraceptive pills for 3-4 months to regularise your cycles if you dont achieve pregnancy in 1 year and if the periods are still irregular. all the best
