How Long Does It Take To Cure Strep Throat With Penicillin?

I was diagnosed and treated for strep throat last saturday. I have been taking penicillin and yesterday I started to get a sore throat again by the night time I had a fully enflamed throat same as last week. What is going on? My last day of antibiotics is tomorrow.
