How Long Does It Take To Drain The Hematoma Post Inguinal Hernia Surgery?

I had inguinal hernia surgery and developed a Hematoma. Which is now draining out the incision site. The surgeon said just let it drain. My question is how long does it take for this to run its course? It s really disheartening not to mention all the clothes,bed clothes and my mattress being bled upon.

I really appreciate your concern, it is all depends upon the condition of wound, ideally it may takes couple of week for healing if it not the infection part else with the infection it may takes long time proper care is must in this case hope this information helps.
