How Long Does It Take To Heal A Knife Cut On The Knuckle?

I cut my knuckle by accident with a knife abou a week back. The cut was small and it bled a bit but it stopped and the cut has healed but the area around the cut is a bit swollen, not discolored and feels bruised but not painful. Is this a possible infection or could my knuckle still need time to heal?
