How Long Does It Take To Recover From A Bypass Surgery?

Hi my father in law is going in for by pass surgery. He is in Florida and we are in Michigan. My husband is flying down as soon as we have more information about a surgery date. My husband is concerned as far as how long rehab is after such a surgery? What is a safe amount of time where he could be alone? Our step mother passed away a couple years ago, so he is alone down there right now. We just want to make sure he is safe as possible. Any information would be helpful, thank you.

Hi,

Usually the recuperation will take 7-10 days based on the contractility of the heart and ejection fraction please.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
