Hi thanks for contacting HCM... You are having some congestive symptom. In your description you have not mentioned exact cause and chest x ray finding.... First to rule out pneumonia do chest x ray. It will show consolidation in x ray... For that 2 week antibiotic like cefixime given.... X ray consolidation gradually resolve within month depending on severity..... Second if you have weight loss and fever then tuberculosis suspected , sputum examination needed. For that atleast 6 month therapy needed. Here your respiratory physical examination with auscultation first needed to do proper work up... If no significant cause found then it could be simply viral bronchitis like infection. Symptomatic management needed. Decongestive tablet like antihistaminic needed. Take care. Dr.Parth
