How Long Does Itching Due To Hives Last After Taking Prednisone?

Hello, I have been dealing with allergic reaction for a week. I have beeni itching, rash, & hives. I went to a doctor yesterday they injected me with 2 shots & prescribed me prednisone. I am still itching today but not constantly & continue to have hives. Is this norma?
