General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Jaundice in adults usually lasts 2 to 3 weeks. In adults, jaundice itself usually isn't treated. It is important to check the condition that's causing it. If you have acute viral hepatitis, jaundice will go away on its own as the liver begins to heal.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
