Hi,
If all the symptoms of child are normal like feeding, sleeping as well as child is not having any fever,
diarrhea,
vomiting or excessive crying etc., then there seems no reason to be concerned. As most of the times, it is a self resolving condition with normal precautions and
phototherapy etc. A minor variation of reading of
bilirubin levels are not of importance.
It usually takes about 2-3 weeks for the apparent symptoms to subside. However, if the bilirubin level still remain raised or increases, within 3 weeks, then there may be some other underlying cause and it needs to be examined by your
pediatrician for evaluating the cause and treatment accordingly, if required.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
